Postcards for peace in Gaza

Categories: Articles:Peacemaking | Published: 11/08/2014 | Views: 2222
To mark three weeks since the Israeli military incursion into Gaza began, the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) is asking supporters around the world to send postcards to the UN General Secretary, Ban Ki Moon, telling him the world is watching what he does in forging a lasting peace. The action is in solidarity with the people of Gaza and in particular the Palestine General Federation of Trade Unions (PGFTU).

The web postcard company ByPost.com is delivering your postcards for free to the UN. You can upload a personal picture of what peace means to you, and write your own message. It might be a photo of your family or community or an activity that depicts everyday life – something that the people of Gaza need to be able to experience too. Find out more here
